Agentic Applications

Coordinated teams of specialized agents that own a whole workflow end-to-end — Oracle's newest class of enterprise software.

What it is

Agentic Applications are Oracle's newest class of software, announced in March 2026. Where a single agent does one job, an agentic app is a team of specialized agents that coordinate to own an entire workflow — and the workspace where humans see and steer it.

Think of it as the next layer up from agents:

Predictive ML → Generative AI → AI Agents → Agentic Applications

Why it matters

Single agents are useful but fragmented — a salesperson might invoke five different agents during a deal cycle. An Agentic Application packages the right agents into a workspace, hands off between them automatically, and gives the human one place to see and approve everything.

Because they're native to the Fusion transactional system, they execute in real time, at enterprise scale, with full governance — they can read unified data, follow approval hierarchies, and respect permissions just like humans do.

What's available now

The first wave of Fusion Agentic Applications was announced March 2026. Five CX-focused ones followed in April:

  • Sales Command Center — own the lead-to-close motion.
  • Service Manager Workspace — accelerate case resolution and quality.
  • Marketing Command Center — identify and launch growth programs.
  • Contract Compliance Workspace — protect revenue with end-to-end contract oversight.
  • Cross-Sell Program Workspace — increase win rates and identify expansion.

ERP, HCM, and SCM are getting their own Agentic Applications on quarterly releases.

When you need this vs. a single agent

If you're solving a single task → use an agent. If you're trying to compress a multi-step, multi-role workflow → that's where an Agentic App earns its keep. Most customers will use both, side by side.
